History

In only two Months, mid June until mid August 2001, Mark “Red” Scott, Sage Bolyard, Mike Swim, Tavita Scanlan, Jeff Kimbrough and Stefan Hauser, designed, formed and built the Bowl from straight up Tyrolean Concrete. The as “Dreamland Skateparks” known Crew are all from and around Portland, Oregon. Dreamland has and is building the best Concrete Parks in the World, many of them in the States, such as Tigard, Newport, Lincoln City, Newberg and last but not least the famous Burnside Park under the Burnside Bridge in Portland. Having this Crew, some of them Pro Skaters, come and build our Park was the best that could happen to us. A Park built by Skaters for Skaters and assuring Good Times all around. The Setting Stone was laid, and in the late Night of August 14th 2001, the Worlds 1st Cradle stood proud and tall. All of this in the magic surroundings of the Tyrolean Alps, between the Town of Brixlegg and the City of Rattenberg (Rats Mountain). There it is bedded, growing to what it is right now: One of the best Parks in Europe and in the Top Ranked Parks all over the World. It’s truly a Dreamland!

Over the Years, the Locals managed to learn about the ‘Crete and so we started extending and changing here and there on our own. Learning by doing and some serious DIY, if you want. Starting in to each new Season with a new Project!
